The 2023 Annual Working Conference of the Research Association and the Fifth Standing Council of the Eighth Session were successfully held

From March 25 to March 26, 2023, the 2023 annual working conference of the China Science and Technology Policy Research Association and the fifth standing Council of the eighth session were successfully held in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province. The current standing council was presided over by Mu Rongping, chairman of the Chinese Society of Science and Technology Policy. The meeting was attended by executive directors of the Society, heads of branches, and supervisors.

This meeting includes three topics, one is the work report of each branch; The second is the report of the secretariat on the key work of the research institute in 2023. The third is the 2023 annual work seminar.
1. each branch reporting
On the afternoon of March 25, 2023, 35 branches of the research institute will report on their work. First, 31 professional committees and working committees will summarize the 2022 work and report on the 2023 work plan. After the 31 professional committees and working committees report in turn, 4 preparatory committees will summarize the work and apply for confirmation. After all the reports were completed, the executive directors at the meeting voted by show of hands, unanimously agreed to the application for confirmation of the four preparatory committees, and put forward expectations for the reported committees in terms of "improving characteristics", "exchanging experience" and "maintaining activity.
On the morning of March 26, 2023, the four sponsored or co-sponsored journals "Science Research", "Science Research Management", "Science and Science and Technology Management" and "Innovation and Development Policy" of the research institute will report their work in turn.
2. Secretariat to report on key work of the Institute in 2023
After the report of the four publications was completed, Chen guang, secretary general of the research institute, first reported on the "branch assessment work and methods", and then Ji bin, director of the research institute's office, reported on the research institute's "2023 first-class society construction goal.

After the report by the secretariat, the executive directors and branch leaders had a heated discussion on "branch assessment work and methods" and "2023 first-class society construction goals.
After the discussion, Chairman Mu Rongping made a brief summary of the branch assessment and first-class society construction goals around "party building leadership", "brand construction", "network construction", "international construction" and "popular science construction.
In 2023, the research society will take "party building leading the construction of first-class societies" as its main task goal, and unite and lead all branches and all members in the two important directions of "strengthening think tank construction" and "internationalization construction". Promote the construction and development of the research society in an all-round way.
