Global Science and Technology Community Follow-up Survey and Evaluation Project Mid-term Seminar Successfully Held
On June 5, 2022, the mid-term seminar of the "Global Science and Technology Association Follow-up Investigation and Evaluation" project of the Science and Technology Innovation Department of the China Association for Science and Technology was held online. Minister Liu Xingping of the Science and Technology Innovation Department of the China Association for Science and Technology, Vice Minister Yang Shuxuan and heads of relevant departments attended the meeting. Experts such as Fang Xin, Honorary Chairman of the Research Association, Mu Rongping, Vice Chairman You Guangrong, Wu Jiannan, and Li Xiaoxuan, Director of the Science and Technology Evaluation and Management Committee, attended the seminar. The meeting was presided over by Chen Guang, the project leader and secretary-general of the Chinese Society of Science and Technology Policy. Professor Meng Fanrong of Xi'an Jiaotong University and researcher Du Peng of the Institute of Science and Technology Strategy Consulting of the Chinese Academy of Sciences reported on the series of global science and technology associations and the progress and achievements of the blue book on the development of global science and technology associations.
The "Global Science and Technology Association Tracking Survey and Evaluation Project" is an annual key task deployed by the China Association for Science and Technology. Based on the "World-Class Science and Technology Association Rankings" released for three consecutive years, the project team has made more comprehensive and systematic improvements and improvements in research content, evaluation data, and results. The sub-project leader, Professor Cui Weijun of Nanjing University of Information Technology, Associate Researcher Li Qiang of the Institute of Science and Technology Strategic Consulting of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Assistant Professor Liu Yao of Xi'an Jiaotong University attended the meeting.
