Global Science and Technology Community Development Index Report 2022
On June 25, 2022, the 5th World Science and Technology Association Development and Governance Forum was held in Changsha, Hunan Province. With the theme of "Common Development and Creating the Future", the forum aims to promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation between domestic and foreign scientific and technological associations. Mu Rongping, chairman of the China Science and Technology Policy Research Association, was invited to attend and officially released the "2022 Global Science and Technology Association Development Index Report" at the meeting. The release of the report attracted widespread attention from all walks of life. China Association for Science and Technology, Xinhuanet, China News Network, Science and Technology Daily, Sohu and other media have successively reported.

The 2022 Global Science and Technology Association Development Index Report launches the Global Science and Technology Association Development Index (Science & Technology Society Development Index,STSDI) for the first time. It makes accurate "portraits" of more than 3000 science and technology associations in more than 70 countries and regions in the world in terms of organizational structure, membership service, academic journals, science and technology awards, scientifically positions their world coordinates, and tries to comprehensively depict the development trend of global science and technology associations, it provides a reference for the future development direction and innovation path of science and technology associations.
Global Science and Technology Community Development Index Report 2022
The release of the 2022 Global Science and Technology Association Development Index report will not only help to judge the gap between China's science and technology associations and the global advanced level and the process of their own construction and development, and provide a more accurate reference for promoting the construction of high-level science and technology associations in China. It can also stimulate the attention of the whole society and even the whole world to the construction of science and technology associations by publicly publishing the research results of science and technology associations around the world, gather the consensus of science and technology associations, transmit the voice of science and technology associations, and create a better development environment for the high-quality development of science and technology associations.
The "2022 Global Science and Technology Association Development Index Report" was commissioned by the Science and Technology Innovation Department of the China Association for Science and Technology and Science and Technology Policy Research Association. It is one of the important think tank achievements of the World Science and Technology Association Development and Governance Forum. Since 2019, four consecutive editions have been released.
