China Science and Technology Policy Research Association Research Integrity and Responsible Innovation Committee was established.

On September 21, the Professional Committee of Scientific Research Integrity and Responsible Innovation of China Science and Technology Policy Research Association was established. The inaugural meeting of the special committee and the first academic forum were held at the Documentation and Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Mu Rongping, chairman of the China Science and Technology Policy Research Association, attended the meeting to congratulate him. He read out the document agreeing to establish a professional committee on scientific research integrity and responsible innovation, and issued a letter of appointment to the first chairman, vice chairman and secretary-general of the special committee. He pointed out that the establishment of the special committee is a milestone event in the process of my country's scientific research integrity governance. He hopes that the special committee will grasp the political nature, strengthen the academic nature, highlight the professionalism, coordinate research forces, enhance research service capabilities, and effectively contribute to my country's scientific research. Integrity and scientific and technological ethics governance contribute to supporting the development of scientific and technological innovation.

Liu Xiwen, director of the literature and Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said on behalf of the affiliated units of the special committee that he would give full play to the unique role of the field of literature and information in the construction of scientific research integrity, build an exchange platform for the special committee, and provide effective support.

He Minghong, deputy director of the Supervision Committee of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Jiang Guohua, researcher of the Chinese Academy of Educational Sciences, Li Zhenzhen, researcher of the Institute of Science and Technology Strategy Consulting of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhang Hongwei, deputy general manager of CNKI, and Zhao Yandong, professor of Renmin University of China, waited for the meeting to congratulate and speak.

Yuan Junpeng, director of the first special committee and researcher of the Literature and Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, introduced the background, preparatory process and future work plan of the special committee. In the future, the special committee will gather scholars to form a joint force with all sectors of society, focusing on cultivating brands such as academic research and decision-making consultation, academic exchanges, education and training.

Chairman Mu Rongping issued a letter of appointment to the main person in charge of the special committee.

At the first academic forum of the special committee, researcher Yang Weiping, director of the Office of the Scientific Research Ethics Committee of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, professor Wang qian of Dalian University of Technology, professor Tang Li of Fudan University, and associate researcher Sun Ping, editor-in-chief of the International Scientific Research Cooperation Information Network, the relevant work was shared with the participants from the aspects of the practice and exploration of scientific research integrity governance, the progress of China's responsible innovation research, the evolution and thinking of international scientific research integrity research, and the "7th World Scientific Research Integrity Conference.

The inaugural meeting was broadcast live online and received extensive attention from scholars in related fields across the country. The meeting attracted more than a thousand online viewers.
