From July 8th to 9th, 2019, the 2nd International Science and Technology Policy and Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum was jointly organized by the China Science and Technology Policy Research Association and Queen Mary, University of London, and was successfully held at Queen Mary, University of London. With the theme of "Sino British cooperation in science, technology and innovation: the next 40 years", the forum focused on how to further improve the cooperation between China and Britain in basic research and innovation. Discuss and exchanges were conducted on the opportunities and challenges of China-UK cooperation in science, technology and innovation, policy cooperation, innovation platform construction, and intellectual property protection. Honorary Chairman Fang Xin, Chairman Mu Rongping, Vice Chairman Liu Xilin, Xue Lan and Li Lianshui, Deputy Secretaries Chen Kaihua, Wen Ke and Liang Zheng, Director Fan Chunliang, Minister of the Special Committee on Science and Technology Policy, Minister Ma Hui and Minister Jiang Sunan of the Chinese Embassy in the UK, ren Fujun, Dean of the Institute of Innovation Strategy of the China Association for Science and Technology, and Lord Claremont-Jones, Vice Chairman of the Cross-Party China Group of the British Parliament, Member of the House of Lords, Bailey, President of Queen Mary University of London, Chairman of the British Science Council and former President of the University of Sheffield About 150 representatives from the science and technology and education circles of China and the UK attended the meeting.
