The 11th National Symposium on Scientometrics and Science and Education Evaluation Held in Southwest University

From April 26 to 28, the 11th National Symposium on Scientometrics and Science and Education Evaluation was held in Southwest University. The conference was hosted by the Scientometrics and Information Metrology Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Science and Technology Policy, Hangzhou Dianzi University, Southwest University


From April 26 to 28, the 11th National Symposium on Scientometrics and Science and Education Evaluation was held in Southwest University. The conference was hosted by the Scientometrics and Information Metrology Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Science and Technology Policy, Hangzhou Dianzi University, and undertaken by the School of Computer and Information Science of Southwest University and the China Institute of Science and Education Evaluation of Hangzhou Dianzi University. More than 140 experts and scholars in the fields of scientometrics and science and education evaluation from more than 40 units across the country attended the meeting. Professor Jiang Guohua, researcher Jin Bihui, Professor Liang Liming, and Professor Dang Yaru were specially invited to the meeting to guide the work. During this period, the fourth plenary meeting of the 7th China Science and Technology Policy Research Association Scientometrics and Information Metrology Professional Committee was also held.
                                                

The opening ceremony was presided over by Qiu Junping, director of the Scientometrics and Information Metrology Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Science and Technology Policy and a senior professor of Hangzhou Dianzi University. Professor Xiao Guoqiang from the School of Computer and Information Science of Southwest University delivered a welcome speech.
On the morning of the 27th, Qiu Junping, senior professor of Hangzhou University of Electronic Science and Technology, Zhang Lin, professor of Wuhan University, Shu Fei, professor of Hangzhou University of Electronic Science and Technology, Jia Tao, a young expert of Southwest University, Yang Liying, researcher of the Literature and Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Wu Junhong, a researcher of the Electronic Magazine of Chinese academic Journal (CD-ROM Edition), presented six wonderful keynote reports. A total of 47 authors made exchange speeches, eighteen experts commented on the paper; on the morning of the 28th, there were 8 excellent paper reports and 6 experts commented on the paper. A total of 20 excellent papers (including 2 first prize, 6 second prize and 12 third prize) were selected, and a grand award ceremony was held at the closing ceremony.
This National Symposium on Scientometrics and Science and Education Evaluation conforms to the development requirements of the new era and the new situation. The participants comprehensively and deeply discussed the opportunities and challenges faced by Scientometrics and Science and Education Evaluation in the era of big data intelligence, especially the development and innovation of Metrology in the open science environment. The successful holding of this conference will inject new vitality into the in-depth development of metrology and open a new chapter in the innovation of China's independent science and technology evaluation system.
