From April 17 to 18, 2018, Li Xinnan, director of the Technology Innovation Professional Committee, led some members to Wuhan to investigate the Industrial Technology Research Institute, a new industrial technology innovation organization.
                                  
Since 2009, Wuhan City has actively explored the construction of new industrial technology innovation organizations. In accordance with the concept of "market-oriented and corporate operation", it has adopted the method of joint construction of provinces, municipal governments and universities, and has successively established 10 industrial technology research institutes. The research team focused on investigating three industrial technology research institutes with Huazhong University of Science and Technology as the co-construction unit, all located in the Future Science and Technology City of Donghu Development Zone.
                                  
Wuhan Intelligent Equipment Industrial Technology Research Institute was jointly invested and constructed by Wuhan Municipal Government and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. It was listed in October 2012 and completed company registration in September 2014. Focus on promoting the research and development of key technologies and related products of high-end complex intelligent equipment (including industrial robots, intelligent robots, automation equipment, intelligent household equipment, etc.), and accelerate the transformation and commercialization of technological achievements. The research group visited the research and development, incubation and office space of the Institute, as well as the research and development and incubation building under construction. Researcher Li Xiaoping, general manager of Wuhan Intelligent Equipment Industrial Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., introduced the research team in detail the establishment process, development mechanism and problems faced by the research team. The practice and experience of establishing the R & D system, manufacturing system, sales network and the incubation mechanism of coordinating the interests of the R & D team and the company to meet the incubation requirements of intelligent equipment companies are highlighted. Wuhan Photoelectric Industrial Technology Research Institute was jointly invested and constructed by Wuhan Municipal Government and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. It was listed in October 2012 and completed its company registration in May 2013. The research group visited the exhibition hall, incubation and office space of the Institute, as well as some incubating enterprises. Zhang Jie, deputy general manager of Wuhan Optoelectronic Industry Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., and others had a discussion with the research team, introducing the research institute's work in activating source innovation with system and mechanism innovation, promoting industrial cultivation with a full chain service system, and promoting high-quality development through the construction of a large platform in the characteristic fields of "core, screen and intelligence. The research group focused on the construction of the incubation system of the hospital and the operation of the breeding fund.

Wuhan New Energy Research Institute was jointly invested and constructed by the Hubei Provincial Government and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. It was listed in September 2009 and completed its company registration in July 2016. Mainly committed to new energy technology research and development, project incubation and industrial investment, determined to ensure the sustainable development of mankind through the development and utilization of new energy. The research team visited the office building of the institute, which is also the landmark building of the future science and technology city-the flower of new energy, as well as the maker space and the UAV energy inspection division. During the discussion, Chen Fenhua, deputy director of the Future Science and Technology City Construction Management Office, and Dr. Zhou Ming, executive vice president of the New Energy Research Institute, respectively introduced the construction process of the Future Science and Technology City and the development process of the New Energy Research Institute to the research group. The research group focused on the problems existing in the construction of the New Energy Research Institute and put forward some specific suggestions.
                                  
Organizing and carrying out research on technological innovation organizations in new industries is one of the important tasks of the technological innovation professional committee this year, and this research is the first stop of a series of research. Wuhan City has boldly explored the construction of new industrial technology innovation organizations, and has some characteristic practices in system and mechanism innovation and model innovation. Through this investigation and exchange, the breadth and depth of research on industrial technological innovation by the Technical Innovation Professional Committee have been further expanded.

During the investigation, the Special Committee on Technological Innovation also held an office meeting of the Secretary-General. Director Li Xinnan, consultant Zhang Bihui, Chen Jin, Zhang Zheng, Deputy Director Liu Dong, Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Yuhua, Academic Secretary Di Xiaoyan, and Director Li Xiaoping of the Research Association attended the meeting. The meeting focused on the work plan of the special committee for this year, as well as the preparatory plan of Deputy Director Chen Jin for the 7th Technology Innovation Roundtable hosted by the Technology Innovation Center of Tsinghua University.
