Approved by the China Science and Technology Policy Research Association, the 12th China Science and Technology Policy and Management Academic Conference in 2016 set up a sub-venue for the National Regional Innovation Symposium. The sub-venue was organized by the Regional Innovation Committee of the China Science and Technology Policy Research Association, with the theme of "Regional Innovation Development and Science and Technology Think Tank Construction".

We sincerely invite all academic colleagues to attend the meeting and do not hesitate to comment on the manuscript.

1. Essay Subjects and Requirements
The theme of this conference is "regional innovation and development and the construction of science and technology think tanks", including the following topics:
1. Theoretical approaches to regional innovation. Including regional innovation mechanism, mode, path, regional innovation monitoring and evaluation, cross-regional collaborative innovation, comparison of regional innovation between China and foreign countries, regional competition theory and method, etc.
2. Typical cases of regional innovation. Including the Yangtze River Economic Belt, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, Central China, and the construction of national independent innovation demonstration zones.
3. Capacity building of science and technology think tanks. Including the theoretical basis of science and technology think tank, the connotation and characteristics of science and technology think tank, the situation demand of science and technology think tank, the construction path of science and technology think tank, etc;
4. Exchange and cooperation of science and technology think tanks. Including case studies of typical science and technology think tanks, the development of private science and technology think tanks, and the reference of foreign science and technology think tanks.

The paper requirements have not been published in official journals, and please write in accordance with the submission requirements of Scientific Research.

The papers hired by the conference will be included in the conference proceedings, and the selected outstanding papers will be awarded certificates by the society and published in batches in the journals "Science Research", "Scientific Research Management" and "Science and Technology Policy Management.

2. Conference Registration
The sub-venue of the National Regional Innovation Symposium will be held in Chongqing from November 12 to 13, 2016, at the same time as the 12th China Science and Technology Policy and Management Annual Conference and the Council of the Research Association hosted by the China Science and Technology Policy Research Association.
