Notice of "Commemorating the 100 Anniversary of Mr. Qian Xuesen's Birth and the Academic Seminar on Qian Xuesen's Thoughts on Science of Science"
Qian Xuesen, an outstanding scientist, is the first person to advocate scientific research in China. On the centenary of Mr. Qian Xuesen's birth, in order to deeply cherish the memory of Mr. Qian Xuesen's outstanding contribution to the development of science in my country, and to promote the theoretical research and discipline construction of science in my country, the Chinese science
Qian Xuesen, an outstanding scientist, is the first person to advocate the study of science in China. On the occasion of the centenary of Mr. Qian Xuesen's birth, in order to deeply cherish the memory of Mr. Qian Xuesen's outstanding contribution to the development of science in my country, and promote the theoretical research and discipline construction of science in my country, sponsored by the China Science and Technology Policy Research Association, and organized by the Humanities and Social Sciences of Dalian University of Technology Department, China Science and Technology Policy Research Association Science Theory and Discipline Construction Professional Committee of Science "Commemorating the 100 Anniversary of Qian Xueses", it is scheduled to be held in Dalian University of Technology from December 17 to 18, 2011. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

(1) Qian Xuesen's scientific thought on Marxism
(2) Qian Xuesen's thoughts on science and technology systems
(3) Qian Xuesen's thoughts on political science
(4) Qian Xuesen's thoughts on technological science
(5) Qian Xuesen's thoughts on system science
(6) Qian Xuesen's thoughts on science and technology economy
Arrangement of 2. meeting activities (subject to meeting schedule)
1. Invite famous domestic scholars who study Qian Xuesen's thought to make academic reports;
2. The academic exchange of Qian Xuesen's scientific thought;
3. Discussion on theoretical research and discipline construction of science of science.
3. Report Call
Now we are calling for the report and the outline of the speech. All participants are required to submit an outline of the report, including the title of the report, the name of the speaker, the organization where the speaker is located, the abstract and the outline. Please send the materials to the wiselab_dlut@163.com as word or pdf documents by e-mail and as e-mail attachments. The deadline for submission of materials is November 30, 2011. Prompt notification will be made after review by the seminar organizer. Participants who need to stay are also requested to inform you by letter (the discount price for standard rooms is about 240 yuan/day).

The conference will present the "Commemorating Qian Xuesen's Centennial Birthday and Qian Xuesen's Scientific Thought Research Collection" to the participants, including the first published copies of 16 personal letters from Qian Xuesen to scholars of Dalian University of Technology.
