In order to strengthen the exchange and cooperation of inter-regional technology foresight research and further give full play to the role of technology foresight in science and technology management, the sixth National Symposium on Technology Foresight, co-sponsored by the Technology Foresight Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Science and Technology Policy, the Chinese Academy of Science and Technology Development Strategy, and the Institute of Science and Technology Policy and Management Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, will be held in Harbin in late July 2011. The meeting will invite relevant leaders and well-known experts and scholars from national and local science and technology authorities, science and technology management and policy research institutions, universities and scientific research institutions to participate. The meeting will exchange and discuss how to further strengthen the research work of inter-regional technology foresight cooperation during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, and will use technology foresight to support the preparation of science and technology planning, the reform of science and technology plan management, the selection of science and technology plan projects, and strategic emerging industries. Proposed proposals on providing innovative tools for development.
