Professor Ronald Rousseau, President of the International Society of Scientometrics, I will make an academic visit in the future.

Foreign member of the Chinese Society of Scientology and Science and Technology Policy, internationally renowned information metrologist, current chairman of the International Society of Scientometrics, professor at the University of Leuven in Belgium, winner of the International Price Prize, Ph.D. in Mathematics --- Ronald. Professor Ronald Rousseau is visiting China for 20 days at the invitation of Zhejiang University. The visit will take place in Hangzhou and Beijing.

April 10, 2011 Professor Russo has arrived in Hangzhou from Brussels.

At the invitation of the Documentation and Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Russo will arrive in Beijing on April 20. From 21 to 22, three lectures will be given to the staff of the center and library students at the Center for Documentation and Information of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and cooperation in scientometrics research will be discussed.

On April 24, Professor Russo will participate in the "Science Metrology and Information Metrology Discipline Construction and the 15th/16th ISSI Conference Application and Reelection Conference of Science Metrology and Information Metrology Professional Committee" organized by the Science Metrology and Information Metrology Professional Committee of our Society at the invitation of Professor Fang Xin, President of our Society.
 
About Professor Ronald Rousseau:

Ronald Rousseau, an internationally renowned expert in information metrology, is known as the father of information metrology. Associate Professor of Bruges-Ostend Catholic Higher Education Institute (KHBO,Catholic School for Higher Education Bruges-Ostend), currently President of the International Association of Scientometrics and Information Metrology (ISSI), and a foreign member of the Chinese Society of Scientology and Science and Technology Policy. He was awarded the Belgian Academy of Sciences Award in 1979, the Fullbright/Hays Scholarship in 1981, and the Price (Price) Award, the highest award in the field of international scientometrics in 2001. He is now a visiting professor or part-time researcher of Antwerp University, the Literature and Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Science Evaluation and Research Center of Wuhan University, Henan normal University and other foreign universities. He has written more than 200 papers in the fields of mathematics, mathematics education, scientometrics and information metrology. He has served as the consultant of China's scientometrics index database, member of the Advisory Committee of the journal of scientometrics, member of the editorial board of the online edition of webinometrics, and chairman of the academic committee of the 9th International Conference on scientometrics and information metrology of ISSI.
