The topics of the conference include:(1) Science, Technology and Innovation (Science & Technology & Innovation);(2) Methodology (Methodology);(3) Journal Analysis (Journal analyses);(4) Webometrics (Webometrics;(5) Disciplinary Research (Disciplinary studies);(6) Cooperative Analysis (Collaboration);(7) Emerging Fields (Emerging fields);(8) networking (Networks);(9) country studies (National studies);(10) data sources (Data sources);(11) funded research (Funding studies);(12) academic career (Academic careers);(13) networking and visualization (Networks and visualization);(14) gender studies;(15) mapping and clustering (Mapping/clustering);(16) new research trends (New developments);(17) peer review (Peer review), etc.

The conference received 215 contributions from 37 countries and regions, and finally accepted 65 full papers (Full Paper), 28 research progress papers (Research in progress) and 52 wall exhibition papers (Poster), nearly 200 scholars from more than 30 countries including the United States, Belgium, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, France, China, Canada, Sweden, Brazil, Japan, India, and Turkey participated in the conference. Among them, there were 19 Chinese participants from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dalian University of Technology, Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China Institute of Science and Technology Information and other units. Dr. Yang Liying, Deputy Director of the Professional Committee of Scientometrics and Information Metrology, and Dr. Yuan Junpeng, Academic Secretary, attended the meeting.

The Derek de Solla Price Award (Derek de Solla Price Award) was also held during the conference. The winner of this year's Price Award was Professor Persson (Olle Persson) from Umeå universitet, Sweden. Representatives from Turkey and China applied to the ISSI Council to host the 15th session of the ISSI in 2015. Turkey attaches great importance to this application. Its application team consists of three people, one from the Ministry of Science and Technology, one from the bidding agency, and the other is a person active in the field of scientific metrology. In China, Dr. Yang Liying, deputy director of the Scientific Metrology Professional Committee and the Literature and Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, made the application statement. In the end, the ISSI Council decided that Turkey had won the right to host the conference in 2015 (Turkey had already bid once in 2009). Some members of the ISSI Council also left a very good impression on China's bid presentation, believing that this bid laid a good foundation for China to obtain the qualification to host the 2017 international conference.

The ISSI Congress is the most important meeting for scientometrics and information measurement, held every two years. The participation of Chinese representatives in this conference not only broadened the research horizons, learned about the latest research trends and research progress in the international academic community, but also laid the foundation for future cooperation through exchanges, mutual communication and learning with many outstanding colleagues.
