The Committee on Scientometrics and Information Metrology elected a new leadership team.
On the morning of April 24, 2011, we held a general election meeting for the professional committee of scientometrics and information metrology. The conference elected and approved Professor Wuyishan of the Institute of Science and Technology Information of China as the director of the new professional committee of scientometrics and information metrology.

The conference elected and approved Professor Wuyishan of the China Institute of Science and Technology Information as the director of the new professional committee of scientometrics and Information Metrology, and nominated the deputy director of the professional committee.
On April 28, Professor Wu Yishan, the newly elected director of the professional committee, sent a letter of solicitation to 27 candidates for members of the professional committee by Email to solicit opinions on the candidates for deputy directors and members of the professional committee nominated at the meeting. According to the statistics of the reply results, more than half of all candidates were elected as members of the professional committee. Seven of them were elected as deputy directors of the professional committee. They are:

Professor Wu Yishan, the newly elected director of the professional committee, said that during his term of office, under the leadership of the chairman of the society, he will inherit the fine tradition of the previous professional committee, carry forward the advantages of the current professional committee, and strive to make the work of the special committee better.
It is also reported that Thomson Reuters Group, the ISTIC-THOMSON REUTERS Joint Laboratory of Scientometrics, and the Scientometrics and Information Metrology Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Science and Technology Policy will be held in Wuyishan City, Fujian Province from May 24 to 27, 2011. The "Positioning Strategy of Discipline Construction and the Third Advanced Seminar on Scientific Research Management and Evaluation".
