I will scientific metrology and information metrology professional committee re-election conference held
The discipline construction of scientometrics and information metrology and the application for the 15th/16th ISSI conference and the re-election conference of the professional committee of scientometrics and information metrology were held on the morning of April 24, 2011 at the institute of science and technology policy and management science of the Chinese academy of sciences. Meeting by me.
The discipline construction of scientometrics and information metrology and the application for the 15th/16th ISSI conference and the re-election conference of the professional committee of scientometrics and information metrology were held on the morning of April 24, 2011 at the institute of science and technology policy and management science of the Chinese academy of sciences.
The meeting was presided over by Jiang Guohua, executive director of the Association and honorary director of the Institute of Education of Beijing Geely University. Ronald, a foreign member of the Association, an internationally renowned information metrology scientist, and current chairman of the International Society of Scientometrics. Professor Russo (Ronald Rousseau), Chairman Professor Fang Xin, and Vice Chairman Professor Mu Rongping were invited to attend the meeting. A total of 35 professors and researchers from related fields of scientometrics attended the meeting.
Six guests were invited to give special speeches on the development, trend and discipline construction of bibliometrics, scientometrics and information metrology. Professor Liu Ze-yuan of the 21st Century Development Research Institute of Dalian University of Technology, "The Development and Frontier of BRICS", and Dr. Liu Yu of Thomson Reuters, "Chinese Science in SCI Vision: achievements and Challenges" Professor Liang Liming, Institute of Science, Technology and Society, Henan Normal University, "Analysis of Papers at the 13th ISSI Conference", Professor Wuyishan, Institute of Science and Technology Information of China, "Research Progress on Scientific Evaluation and Scientometrics", Professor Liu Niancai, Institute of Higher Education, Shanghai Jiaotong University, "World University Rankings and Prospects", and Professor Zhao Rongying, School of Information Management, Wuhan University analysis, the 6 wonderful academic reports aroused the strong interest and heated discussion of the participants.
The meeting also gave a campaign speech around the bid for the 15th/16th ISSI conference. The school representatives participating in the election were Professor Ding Kun of Dalian University of Technology, Professor Chen Jin of Zhejiang University and Professor Zhao Rongying of Wuhan University. They made representations on discipline construction, scientific research team, scientific research achievements, international academic exchange activities, and the software and hardware environment for holding international conferences. Professor Rousseau commented. He expressed great favor to the bidding places, and pointed out that no matter which school it is held in the end, ISSI will give full support.
The conference elected and approved Professor Wuyishan of the China Institute of Science and Technology Information as the director of the new Scientometrics and Information Metrology Professional Committee. The meeting also nominated the deputy director of the professional committee.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Chairman Fang Xin emphasized that applying for the ISSI conference to be held in China is a major event for the Scientometrics and Information Metrology Professional Committee, and it is also a major event for our association. The research association should make every effort to help the applicant school successfully apply and successfully hold the ISSI conference.
