Zhang Dengyi

Zhang Dengyi, born in January 1939, is from North Town Village, Hezhao Township, Wei County, Hebei Province. He joined the Communist Party of China in December 1955 and worked in the Policy Research Office of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in August 1964. He graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China with a major in physical mechanics, with a university degree and a senior engineer.

From 1959 to September to August 1964, he studied at the University of Science and Technology of China and served as deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee of the Department of Chemical Physics. From August 1964 to March 1971, he worked in the Policy Research Office of the Chinese Academy of Sciences as the leader of the Party School. From March 1971 to February 1972, he worked in the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and served as the deputy leader of the artificial nucleic acid research group. From October 1995 to January 2000, he worked in the State Oceanic Administration and successively served as director, secretary of the party group of the bureau, vice minister of the Ministry of Land and Resources, and member of the party group. Vice Chairman of the Second Council of the Chinese Society for Science and Technology Policy.
