In order to study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of important expositions on strengthening the construction of new think tanks with Chinese characteristics, actively assume the new mission of China's science and technology think tanks in the new era, strive to improve the core capabilities of science and technology think tank researchers, and promote the construction of my country's high-level science and technology think tanks, the Regional Innovation Professional Committee of the China Science and Technology Policy Research Association, the Shanghai Science Research Association, the Shanghai Science and Technology Management Cadre College, and the Science and Technology China Magazine plan to jointly hold the "2019 Science and Technology Think Tank Core Competency Building Advanced Seminar" in Shanghai from April 17 to 19, 2019 ".
Prior to this, we successfully held two seminars in 2016 and 2018, which were highly affirmed by more than 200 students from more than 30 science and technology think tanks, scientific research institutes and universities across the country. Guangming Daily, Science and Technology Daily and other central-level media carried out relevant reports, and was included in the monthly memorabilia of think tanks and selected as a landmark event in 2016 China's think tank self-construction.
General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: "The construction of think tanks should focus on improving the quality of research and promoting content innovation." This has clarified the direction and goals for strengthening the construction of new think tanks with Chinese characteristics. In order to enhance the core capacity building of science and technology think tanks, the workshop focused on five areas of capacity that science and technology think tank researchers need to focus on--"Know the general trend, understand the method, can write, good communication, can spread"To design and formulate research courses, invite experts and scholars from national high-end think tanks and well-known institutions such as the China Academy of Science and Technology Development Strategy of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Duke Kunshan University, China Institute of Science and Technology Information, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Tianjin Institute of Science and Technology, Guangdong Asia-Pacific Innovation Economic Research Institute, Shanghai Science and Technology Policy Research Institute, etc., to conduct in-depth explanations, interactive exchanges, and arrange research visits to Shanghai innovation and entrepreneurship carriers. After passing the training, a certificate of completion will be issued.
