Chairman Mu Rongping Releases Research Report on World-Class Science and Technology Associations at Annual Meeting of China Association for Science and Technology

Standing at the key historical node of great changes unseen in a century, the report conducts a panoramic scan and empirical investigation of the world's first-class science and technology associations, which not only helps to judge the gap between my country's science and technology associations and the global advanced level and the process of their own construction and development, but also promotes my country. The construction of high-level science and technology associations provides a more accurate reference, and can also publicly publish research results on science and technology associations on a global scale, stimulate the whole society and even the global attention to the construction of science and technology associations, gather the consensus of science and technology associations, transmit the voice of science and technology associations, and create a better development environment for the high-quality development of science and technology associations.
The report obtains the information of global science and technology associations through international well-known conferences, international famous awards, international first-class journals tracing, domestic association recommendation, network big data analysis and other methods, and collects more than 200,000 pieces of relevant information and data of 1100 associations in 38 countries. A comprehensive evaluation of the global science and technology community is carried out, and a time series analysis is made from the historical trend. Finally, in the face of the current complex political environment, coupled with the impact of the new crown epidemic, the global economic downturn and the trend of change in science and technology, the report proposes the development strategy and implementation path of agile governance of the science and technology community.
